Steelers Opened Tuesday As 4-Point Consensus Home...


The Pittsburgh Steelers registered their first win of the 2019 regular season Monday night and now they’ll be looking to stack another one on top of it Sunday at Heinz Field against the Baltimore Ravens. According to vegasinsider.com, the Steelers opened Tuesday as consensus 4-point underdogs to the visiting Ravens and as of the time of this post the line has dipped to 3.5-points.

The Ravens enter Week 5 of the 2019 regular season with a 2-2 record. After starting the season with wins over the Miami Dolphins and Arizona Cardinals, the Ravens have lost their last two games to the Kansas City Chiefs and Cleveland Browns with the latter being played in Baltimore.

For the season, Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson has completed 87 of his 134 total pass attempts for 1,110 yards. Jackson has thrown 10 touchdowns and two interceptions. He’s also been sacked 10 times this season.

The Ravens rushing attack entering Week 5 is led by running back Mark Ingram, who has 328 yards and five touchdowns on 55 total carries. Ingram has also caught seven passes for 62 yards on the season. Jackson is second on the Ravens in rushing as he’s totaled 238 yards and a touchdown on 36 total rushes.

Leading the Ravens in receiving entering Week 5 is tight end Mark Andrews, who has 23 receptions for 266 yards and three touchdowns on the season. Rookie wide receiver Marquise Brown, the Ravens first-round draft pick this year, is second on the team in receiving betting week 5 with 18 receptions for 304 yards and two touchdowns.

Defensively for the Ravens entering Week 5, linebacker Patrick Onwuasor leads the team in total tackles with 23. Fellow Ravens linebacker Matt Judon leads the team in sacks entering Week 5 with three. The Ravens defense has eight total sacks on the season.

The Ravens defense has recorded just three interceptions through four games and responsible for them are safety Earl Thomas and cornerbacks Marlon Humphrey and Maurice Canady. Humphrey leads the Ravens in total passes defensed with five.

Entering Week 5 the Ravens defense is last in the NFL in yards allowed per play with a number of 7.03. The Ravens defense has also allowed 20 plays of 20 yards or longer so far this season.

The Steelers and Ravens have met each other a total 50 times (including 4 postseason games), with the Pittsburgh winning 28 games and Baltimore winning 22 games. Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin is 14-13 all-time against the Ravens and 9-6 against them at home. The Steelers have won four of the last five meetings between the two teams.
