Browns Take Over AFC North Lead With Week 4 Road...

There’s a new leader in the AFC North division as of Week 4 Sunday and it’s the Cleveland Browns.

The Brown beat the Baltimore Ravens on the road 40-25 on Sunday and they’ll now exit week 4 of the 2019 regular season as the AFC North with a 2-2 record.

Browns quarterback Baker Mayfield completed 20 of his 30 pass attempts on Sunday for 342 yards with one touchdown and one interception. His lone touchdown pass went to tight end Ricky Seals-Jones from 9-yards out in the first quarter.

Wide receiver Jarvis Landry led the Browns in receiving on Sunday with eight receptions for 167 yards. Browns running back Nick Chubb led his team in rushing with 165 yards and three touchdowns on 20 total carries. One of Chubbs’ touchdowns and 88 of his rushing yards came on one run midway through the fourth quarter.

Defensively for the Browns, linebacker Joe Schobert led his team in total tackles on Sunday with 17 with one of those being a sack of Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson. The Browns defense sacked Jackson a total of four times on Sunday and intercepted the Ravens quarterback twice.

Jackson completed 24 of his 34 total pass attempts for 247 with three touchdowns and two interceptions in a losing effort. His three touchdown passes went tight end Mark Andrews and wide receivers Willie Snead and Miles Boykin. Jackson also rushed for 66 yards on 9 carries and running back Mark Ingram led the team in rushing Sunday against the Browns with 71 yards on 12 carries.

defensively for the Ravens, safety Earl Thomas led the team in total tackles with eight. Linebacker Tyus Bowser had Baltimore’s only sack of Mayfield on Sunday and that came in the first quarter. Ravens cornerback Maurice Canady recorded the team’s lone interception on Sunday.

The Browns led the Ravens 10-7 at halftime. While the Ravens did manage to tie the game 10-10 early in the third quarter, it was almost all Browns the rest of the game and two of their second half touchdowns followed Baltimore turnovers.

The 2-2 Ravens will now start getting ready to play the Pittsburgh Steelers next Sunday at Heinz Field. The Steelers will play the Cincinnati Bengals Monday night and then work on a short week. The 2-2 Browns will get ready to play the San Francisco 49ers on the road next Sunday. The 49ers were on a bye this week.
